Local SEO and Google Business Profile

Rank higher for relevant local searches and attract more leads and customers.

Our local SEO review checks how your business appears on Google Search, Maps and your website, including the relevant local searches where customers could find you. It can cover the services, opening hours, phone number and directions nearby customers use to decide whether to call or visit. We recommend which corrections to make first.

Does your local listing match your business?

Someone looking for a nearby business may decide from your profile before visiting the website. A wrong opening time, misleading address or unclear service can lose their confidence.

01

Customers see conflicting contact details.

The profile shows one phone number or opening time while the website shows another. Customers cannot tell which is correct, so we confirm the current details with the person responsible for the business.

02

The listing describes the wrong service.

A broad or unsuitable category can leave customers unsure what you do. We match the categories to what your business actually does.

03

The location page does not help someone visit.

A customer finds the area name but cannot tell where to park, whether an appointment is needed or which number reaches that branch.

04

Reviews go unanswered and enquiries reach the wrong person.

A customer leaves a question in a review or calls a number nobody answers. Often, nobody has been named to reply, choose the customer phone number or update opening hours.

Help nearby customers check your business before they contact you.

We compare what customers see on your profile and website with the confirmed details they need to call, enquire or visit.

01

Show accurate business information.

Keep the real business name, location or service area and contact details consistent.

01Business name
02Address or service area
03Phone and opening hours
02

Explain whether you can help.

Use the profile and website to describe the actual services and customer contact options.

03

Compare profile clicks with actual enquiries.

Review website clicks, call-button clicks and directions alongside recorded enquiries. A click does not prove a completed call or visit.

Check the details customers use to call or visit.

We check the public details, profile ownership and contact route, then agree corrections and who keeps the information current.

  1. 01

    Confirm the business and goal.

Identify the real locations, customer-facing services and the calls, visits or enquiries you want to support.

  2. 02

Check who can manage the business profile.

We check whether the operation qualifies and who owns the profile. Where agreed work needs profile access, the owner adds a manager; Google controls verification requirements.

  3. 03

Compare the profile with confirmed facts.

Document discrepancies in names, categories, hours, contacts and addresses, alongside the evidence needed to correct them.

  4. 04

Review the website and contact route.

Check whether the linked page explains the relevant branch or service area and lets a customer reach the right person.

  5. 05

Correct the details and arrange future updates.

List the phone, hours, services or address details that need correcting. Confirm who submits them, replies to reviews and changes opening hours for public holidays.

  6. 06

Check what customers now see on Google.

Check that approved details are visible on Google. We then compare available profile activity with your recorded enquiries.

What your local SEO review covers.

We agree which locations or service areas need review, then connect each profile with confirmed business facts and its relevant website page. Corrections and later updates are included when specified in the scope.

01

Confirm where and how you serve customers.

Check whether the operation is eligible for a profile, which real locations exist and whether customers visit you or you travel to them. Show the address only if customers are served there; otherwise describe the area you travel to.

02

Review the profile details customers use.

Compare the business name, categories, hours, phone, website and services with confirmed facts. Identify duplicate or conflicting information without creating unnecessary listings.

03

Make the linked location page useful.

Check local service information, contact options and practical visiting details. Each branch page should explain that real branch rather than swap town names in generic copy.

04

Review customer feedback and available activity.

Decide how genuine customers can leave an optional review and who replies. Review available website clicks, call-button clicks and direction requests alongside the enquiries your business records.

The original scan and edited version show how a geographic rank grid can communicate visibility. The green version is not a client result, repeat scan or ranking promise. A measured comparison needs the same search, locations and settings at different times.
Confirmed business facts
The real business name, services, hours and contact details, with confirmation of whether customers visit a staffed location or the business travels to them.
Profile decision
A category that reflects the actual business. The public name follows the real trading name, rather than adding search or place keywords.
Website decision
A page describing the real location or service area, available services and how to call, enquire or visit. A workshop, for example, may need appointment and arrival details.
Customer review request
The same optional review request for genuine customers, without rewards or filtering for positive feedback.
Contact check
Working phone and website links, current opening hours and a named person responsible for contact and updates.
Activity to review
Available profile website clicks, call-button clicks and direction requests, considered alongside recorded enquiries.

Separate accurate information from local ranking.

A corrected address or working phone link is something you can check directly. Appearing higher for a local search depends on more than those corrections. We report these separately:

  • Confirmed details compared with the published profile and website.
  • Profile activity such as website clicks, call-button clicks and direction requests where available.
  • Recorded enquiries or visits, with a stated method for identifying their source.

Google describes local results using relevance, distance and prominence. Profile work cannot remove the distance between a searcher and your business or guarantee a position. Performance reporting may include activity from both organic results and Google Ads.

Questions before you choose Local SEO and Google Business Profile.

What is local SEO?

Local SEO helps people searching in a particular area find and understand your business. A useful first review checks your real services and locations, relevant search visibility, profile accuracy and gaps in linked service or location pages. It can include profile details, website information and genuine customer feedback. Agree which corrections matter before adding pages or expanding the scope.

Is Google Business Profile the same as my website?

No. The profile is a business listing on Google Search and Maps, with details such as hours, reviews and contact options. Your website can explain services and locations in more depth. Customers should find consistent facts across both.

Can an online-only business have a profile?

Generally, an online-only operation without in-person customer contact is not eligible. Eligibility depends on Google’s guidelines and your actual operation. Check those requirements before creating a listing.

What if I travel to customers and do not have a shop?

An eligible service-area business can have a profile. If customers are not served at your address, Google’s guidance calls for hiding that address. The service area should reflect where you actually operate; adding towns does not guarantee visibility in them.

Do I need a separate listing for every area I serve?

No. Serving several towns does not mean you have a separate eligible location in each one. Profiles should correspond to real qualifying operations. Multiple locations require a review of each location’s eligibility, staffing and customer contact.

Can you guarantee a top-three Maps position?

No. Top-three visibility can be a goal for relevant searches, but it is not a promised result. The query, the searcher’s location and competing businesses affect what appears. Google considers relevance, distance and prominence; no provider can guarantee a particular local position or a fixed timetable for reaching it.

Who owns the profile and handles verification?

Your business retains ownership and adds appropriate managers for agreed work. We review the ownership and verification situation with you, and agree any access support separately. Google determines verification methods and may request evidence or another verification. We cannot promise approval or reinstatement.

Can we add keywords to our business name?

The profile name should reflect the name used in the real world. Adding services or area names merely to target searches can breach Google’s guidelines. Relevant categories, service details and website content are the appropriate places to describe the offer.

Can you help us get more customer reviews?

The scope can include a simple process for inviting genuine customers to leave optional reviews and assigning responses. The process never involves buying reviews, offering incentives or asking only for positive feedback. Customers are free to describe their actual experience.

Do we need a website page for every town?

Only when the business serves that area and the page answers a distinct customer need with accurate local information. Related area searches can share one useful coverage page where separate pages would repeat the same answer. Replacing city names in otherwise identical pages is not a useful strategy and can create doorway pages. Start with real branches or meaningful service-area information.

How much does local SEO cost in Malaysia?

The number of locations, access problems, website changes and frequency of opening-hour or service updates affect the scope. Your proposal confirms the fee and separates an initial review from any implementation or ongoing management. We do not publish a standard fee because these factors vary between businesses.

How do we know whether local SEO helped?

We agree the searches, locations and measures before making changes, and record a baseline. If geographic grid tracking is included, we repeat the same locations and settings to compare visibility over time. We confirm that approved changes are live and review profile activity and reliable enquiry records separately. Business Profile performance can include both organic search and Google Ads, so not every profile interaction can be attributed to SEO. Call-button clicks are not completed calls, direction requests are not confirmed visits, and rankings alone do not establish sales.

Start with the business customers should find.

Share your profile, website and real location or service area. Explain whether the priority is calls, visits or enquiries so we can identify what needs checking first.
