AI Visibility Audit

See what AI tools say about your business.

Before changing your website, see what Google’s AI features and ChatGPT say when asked selected customer questions. We keep a dated record of each question, answer and visible source to help you separate an incorrect business fact from an answer that simply varies.

Where customers can get the wrong picture.

An AI answer can give customers the wrong picture, and a quick check can give your team the wrong conclusion. These are possible problems to investigate, not findings from a client audit.

01

Every screenshot uses a different question.

A supplier question, a named-business question and a location question test different things. Keep exact wording and conditions so the records can be understood together.

02

The answer describes the wrong coverage.

We compare the returned location or service description with the coverage your business owner has approved. We find the source before proposing a correction.

03

An absent mention is treated as a website fault.

A brand missing from one answer does not by itself show a page defect. Record it separately from a confirmed factual error.

04

Nobody has recorded the sources or search mode.

Without the tool, Search mode, date and visible source links, a screenshot gives the team too little information to investigate.

Make the next decision easier.

The audit gives you a dated baseline of selected questions, tools, location contexts and the sources each answer showed.

01

Keep comparable questions and conditions.

We keep the exact question, tool, mode, language, location context and date beside the answer. Device and signed-in state are noted where relevant and available, with any conditions we cannot hold constant.

02

Separate wrong facts from missing mentions.

Compare service and coverage statements with approved facts. Treat an incorrect location, a missing link and an absent mention as different observations.

03

Choose a supported next investigation.

For a confirmed coverage conflict, identify the cited source and the person who can correct it. If the cause is unclear, define the evidence needed before recommending an edit.

Follow one customer question through the review.

We follow a selected customer question from an observed answer to any visible source and an agreed next task. Your team helps confirm the business facts and who can act on a supported finding.

  1. 02Agree the customer question.

We agree the exact buying question, relevant languages, location context and tools or modes to sample.

  2. 03Record wording and sources.

We keep the dated answer, the mode used and visible links. Missing answers or links stay recorded as missing.

  3. 04Investigate a coverage conflict.

If an answer gives a wrong service area, we compare its cited source with approved coverage. An absent brand mention alone does not establish a page fault.

  4. 05Agree the task and repeat check.

We identify who can approve and implement a source correction, and whether a repeat check is included. A repeat check describes that sample; it does not predict future visibility.

Possible scope 1

Question and sampling conditions

Choose actual buying questions and agree tool, mode, language and location context.

See what this covers

A fixed sample gives the observations a comparable starting point.

  • Possible output: the agreed question list and sampling conditions.
02

Possible scope 2

Answer and source record

Keep the exact wording, dated answer and visible source links together.

See what this covers

Record absent answers or sources without inventing a result.

  • Possible output: a dated answer-and-source record.
03

Possible scope 3

Factual gap review

Compare coverage or service claims with facts the business has approved.

See what this covers

A missing mention alone does not identify a website defect.

  • Possible output: statements that conflict with approved facts.
04

Possible scope 4

Prioritised investigation list

Separate a confirmed factual error from a useful improvement or unresolved question.

See what this covers

Identify the relevant page and the evidence needed for the next check.

  • Possible output: a prioritised investigation list.

Keep the question, evidence and next step connected.

Each step connects a customer question with the evidence available and the next decision. We agree who does each part before work starts.

  1. 01

    Agree the buying question.

We agree the buying questions with your team, the tools or modes, language and location context to sample, and who approves the final list.

  2. 02

Record the answer and its conditions.

We keep each dated answer with its recorded conditions and visible source links. Missing answers or sources are marked as missing.

  3. 03

Check the source against approved facts.

Where an answer states a fact about your business, we compare its cited source with facts your named approver has confirmed. A confirmed conflict identifies a correction task; an unresolved observation identifies the next evidence needed.

See how the question becomes a practical task.

A record of the questions, answers and sources

We agree a customer decision, collect dated answers and investigate supported factual gaps. For example, a cleaning enquiry may depend on whether a supplier serves the customer’s location.

Customer question

What should I check before choosing a supplier?

The customer needs clear scope, suitability and contact information before deciding which supplier to approach.

Open each step to see the proposed checks, evidence and possible next task.

01Agree a question worth checking

Customer question

We agree the question wording and add named-business or location questions where useful. We agree languages, location context and the tools or modes to sample.

02Keep the answer with its conditions

Evidence to collect

We save the exact question, tool, mode, date, language, available location context and visible links. We note device and signed-in state where relevant and available, plus conditions we cannot hold constant. Missing answers or links remain missing; this illustration contains no captured result.

03Turn a factual gap into a source task

Possible action

Where a wrong fact has a visible source, we compare that source with owner-approved information. We agree who can correct that source, whether it is your website or a third-party page, and whether implementation or a repeat check is included. An absent brand mention alone does not establish a website fault.

01

Bring the business context.

Explain what your customer needs to decide and share the page or AI answer that concerns you.

02

Identify who can verify the facts.

Name the subject expert or business owner who can confirm coverage, specifications and scope.

03

Agree implementation and follow-up.

We agree whether the engagement supplies recommendations, edited pages or implementation, and whether a repeat check is included. For ongoing observations, see LLM Visibility Monitoring.

Check whether the scope matches your starting point.

What can you bring to the work?

Questions about the audit.

Short answers on what the audit can show, what it cannot, and who does what.

Can an audit predict whether my business will appear?

No. It records selected questions, tools, modes and dates. One observation cannot establish what every customer sees or guarantee future inclusion.

What belongs in the question record?

The exact question, language, location context, tool, mode, date, answer wording and visible sources. We note device and signed-in state where relevant and available, and conditions we cannot hold constant. Missing answers or links belong in the record too.

Is an absent brand mention a website defect?

Not by itself. A confirmed coverage error and an absent mention are different observations. Investigate the sources before recommending a page change.

Is implementation included?

Only if the proposal includes it. We agree whether the engagement supplies recommendations, revised pages, markup or implementation, and name who approves factual claims and who makes changes. Content Optimisation and Entity SEO and Schema are related services; they are not automatically included in an audit.

What access is needed?

Public pages and available observations are enough to start. Agreed read-only Search Console access can add context, including Google’s Generative AI performance report when available. That report shows impressions, not answer wording or separate AI-feature clicks. Analytics or site access may support additional agreed checks; we record any check that cannot be performed.

What results are guaranteed?

None of these checks can guarantee inclusion, citations, traffic or enquiries. Agree the deliverables and how they will be reviewed, while keeping business outcomes separate from source observations.

Which customer questions should an audit include?

Choose questions tied to actual decisions: comparing suppliers, understanding service scope or checking a named business and location. We keep these groups separate: a supplier-comparison question can show whether you were mentioned in that sample; a named-business question can show whether the facts stated about you are right.

What should happen when an answer has no visible source?

Record that no source was visible. Keep the answer and its conditions, then investigate relevant public pages independently. Do not label an assumed page as the source of an answer.

Can competitor answers be included?

Yes, in an agreed comparison using the same questions and conditions. We record what was observed rather than treating a competitor mention as proof of better pages or a stronger business.

How should the audit findings be prioritised?

Separate confirmed factual errors, useful page improvements and unresolved observations. Identify the affected customer decision, evidence, approval owner and next investigation before choosing which task to implement.
